Winchester Model 1866 Second Model Saddle Ring Carbine  Serial no. 23105,(Serial no. inside on lower tang indicating 2nd model). .44 cf., 20” round barrel with full magazine. Very good bore. Manufactured 1869, Retains gray/brown patina w/ traces of original blue in protected areas. Plain walnut stocks are very good w/small chip at buttstock. Very small crack on forend forward of barrel ring. A few dents on right side of forearm. Forearm barrel ring screw slightly damaged. Brass crescent buttplate w/hinged door similar to Henry rifle – contains original cleaning rod. Rear sight is leaf folding. Overall excellent condition considering age.
