Le Fever Arms Co. G-grade side-lock double shotgun
Serial no. 18764, 12 ga., 30” barrels choked improved cylinder and modified w/ excellent bores.
Barrels professionally restruck – nice Damascus stars pattern its full length.
Frame & Lockplates about 95%+ original colors.
Checkered capped pistol grip English walnut stock – excellent & professionally refinished.
Splinter style forend – Excellent.
Locks up tight – mechanically functional.
Length of pull is 14” w/ drops of 1 ¾” & 3 1/8”
Tiny chips at toe of buttplate.

Extremely rare H. Tomes & Co. percussion double converted to breech loader by Francis Dangerfield.
Serial no. 296, 12 ga., 28” barrels w/ very good bore.
Shows scant Damascus twist.
Lockplates show light sprays of scroll w/ borderline filigree – marked “H. Tomes & Co.”
Dangerfield frame marked.
Long tang triggerguard show nice light engraving, gray patina.
Excellent for its age is straight grip English walnut buttstock.
Small chip missing from leading edge of stock.
Smooth forend w/ few old chips. Portion of wedge escutcheon is missing.
Mechanically functional.
Tight Lock up.
Great example.
