US Model 1861 Percussion Rifle Musket

.58 cal. percussion
40” barrel, very good bore, Lockplate has all proper markings
Dated 1862.
Three brass bands and triggerguard have been enhanced,
perhaps for parade use.
Walnut stock – no cartouche – shows light handling marks
and carved “J.A.B../1865” on right of butt w/some decoratine carving around buttplate, tang.
With this gun a letter explaining the gun was received by a doctor as payment for medical services.
“JAB” is Jacob A. Broadbent of Schenectady, N.Y.
Included is proper tulip shaped ramrod.
Very good condition. Further research could prove out more history.

Case hardening on lock plate & hammer
Excellent markings,
Barrel has 99% deep blue color, a few spots minor pitting.
All brass has mellow patina.
Wood is excellent condition – no dents or cracks or scratches.
Excellent bore.
Sharp cartouches on left side of stock.
Approximately 12,500 made.
New condition!
Affectionately labeled "The Zouave" by collectors.
This has been touted as the most accurate muzzle-loading weapon of the war.
Included: 2 powder tins, ammo & powder measure.

Serial no. 51329, 45-70 Gov’t, 32 5/8” barrel, Good bore w/some pitting.
Scattered specks of pinprick pitting.
1873 dated low arch breech block retains old reblue.
Nicely refinished walnut stock.
Partially visible cartouches rate nearly excellent w/ small crack behind lock-piece
triggerguard w/grooved trigger.
Nice piece.

19” barrel w/ dark bore,
Barrel shows dark brown patina w/specks of pitting.
Lock marked “1858 Enfield”, “Crown over VR” mark
Breech block is marked “11*”
Firing pin is frozen.
Nice aged finish on brass.
Flip up rear sight works but elevation numbers are difficult to read.
Clear proof marks.
Round cartouche marked “HR(crown)m”
Stock has many dents and handling marks.

Marlin Model 1893 Lever Action Rifle
Serial no. 157439, 30 – 30, 26” octagon barrel with excellent bore,
“Special smoke steel” barrel retains approx. 75% original blue.
Receiver shows approx. 90% original – fading case colors.
Walnut buttstock shows a lot of original varnish, rates very good, with minor dents & dings from years of use.
Old repair at point of comb (damage probably caused from folding tang aperture sight),
Forend is very good, showing wear and a crack along its top edge.
Rocky Mountain style front sight and equipped with a Lyman tang sight.
Fine rifle.
Factory letter included,

32 5/8” barrel, very good bore,
Barrel and action bear dark patina & some light pitting,
The door bears a mis-strike “1878”. There was no 1878 thus the factory done overstrike should have read 1873.
Much of metal retains 85% blue, very little rust – clean,
Walnut stock very good, light dings & handling marks,
Two small holes on stock filled long ago behind top tang.
Third variation 1873 ramrod,
Buffington rear sight, grooved trigger,
Front sight blade is homemade replacement.
Overall, excellent clean gun.

Set trigger which must be pulled after cocking,
Overall length 53”, octagon barrel 37”, diameter of barrel 1”, .45 cal. rifled,
Small age crack on left side of buttplate – minor,
Belonged to Henderson family from Pennsylvania until recently and now on Cape Cod,
Fully functional, weighs 10 lbs.
Recommended not to be fired – because of age,
