Full length tiger-striped curly maple stock
54 ½”overall, 38 ¾” barrel, octagonal,
Excellent .45 cal. rifled bore,
Maker’s mark “Geo. T. Heinemann – his gun 1971” engraved on top of barrel,
Stock is brass mounted with large patchbox which has pierced siderails and finial,
Butt has cheekpiece & carved relief scrollwork on left side,
Raised molding at ramrod channel,
Incised carving along lower edge of butt on both sides,
Stock is excellent showing little use,
Proper ramrod included,
A beautiful piece – excellent decorative elements

Swivel at butt
Approx. 50,000 manufactured – serial nos. 11,000 – 61,000,
There were approximately 11,450 produced for the army during the Civil War.
Similar to naval model except for front sight that doubles for bayonet lug.
Good, all original wood,
Frame has original bluing – barrel turning plum color,
Good bore,
Some minor pitting on side of frame,
A rare, clean Civil War gun,

Total manufactured approx. 232,500,
Cartridge for this model had 500 grain bullet rather than 405 grain previously used.
Carbine similar to Model 1879 with 22” barrel,
Buffington rear sight has letter “C” on leaf
Serial nos. run 325,000 – 480,000
Sling ring next to lock,
Trap door on lock marked 1873 or 1878(not clear)
Mirror barrel,
Inspection mark left side of barrel at breech,
Lock & barrel have original blue,
Stock is well used with many dents & dings – no cracks,
This is an actual carbine – not a cut down version.

Very ornate – 15 decorative inlays on stock – silver,
Tiger maple stock,
Solid brass ridge under barrel to half stock,
Original cleaning rod,
Silver buttplate, trigger and patchbox,
Owners name “Alise Henderson” on left side cheek plate,
Set trigger which must be pulled after cocking,
Overall length 53”, octagon barrel 37”, diameter of barrel 1”, .45 cal. rifled,
Small age crack on left side of buttplate – minor,
Belonged to Henderson family from Pennsylvania until recently and now on Cape Cod,
Fully functional, weighs 10 lbs.
Recommended not to be fired – because of age,
Tiger stock beautiful,
A great showpiece!

Belgian double barrel flintlock Fowler,
Rare, mid 1700’s
.62 cal, 37” barrels,
No makers marks,
Simple engraving on top of breech & cocks,
Locks have some restoration,
Frizzen springs are good replacements,
Walnut half stock has strip of wood replaced on each side of forend at barrel channel,
Stock has sculptured steel triggerguard & tailpipe,
Metal has dark patina,
Pitting on top of breech has fine pitting that makes engraving hard to see,
Refinished stock has 1” hairline crack above left lock plate & short section of replaced wood.
Proper ramrod.

Unusual American percussion “buggy rifle”
39 ½” overall, 25” part round / part octagon barrel,
Fine .36 cal. bore,
Could also be called a boy’s heavy barreled target rifle,
Weighs 10 lbs, 6 oz.
Short 11 ¾” pull,
German silver furniture including ornate surround on patchbox,
Left side of stock has free form sideplate,
Decorative inlay in mid butt,
Stock also has German silver toeplate & pewter forend cap, “wedding ring” transition between round & octagonal sections of barrel.
Barrel tang has three holes that would have held peepsight.
Metal has good color.
Very small age crack behind lock & front of lock.
Original cleaning rod w/corkscrew type patch remover,
Believed to have been made by Henry V. Perry of Jamestown, NY, circa 1870.

Tang has folding aperture, adjustable sight,

Walnut half stock has raised cheek piece,
Extra sculpture in butt,
Brass patchbox,
Checkered straight wrist, pewter forend cap,
Maker’s marking on top of barrel behind rear sight,

Blade front sight, fixed buckhorn rear sight, & second rear sight filled in dovetail
Back action lock is engraved w/game scene and marked “Joseph Golcher”
Double set triggers, shallow cheek piece
Right handed shooter
Brass furniture and pewter forend cap
Hammer is period replacement
All metal dark patina
Classic example of Wild West gun – major repair to left side of stock – gun may have been used as a physically wielded weapon

has globe front sight w/pinhead post, fixed blade rear barrel sight, factory midrange folding tang sight, double set triggers, stocks walnut, well engraved, forend has a schnabel tip, carved heart in relief near frame, 1 1/2" diameter circular sterling screw escutcheon that is bordered engraved with "G.C."
Buttstock has large cheek piece for a right handed shooter & large brass Schutzen buttplate.
Both stocks have carved fleur-de-lis panels with stippled background.

"Model 1873" stamped on latch was an overstrike at factory so it appears to read 1878 - There was no 1878 manufactured!
Lock shows clear "US Springfield" eagle in front of hammer.
Stock has dings & dents from handling, otherwise good condition.
Inspector's cartouche very clearly on left side of stock over trigger dated "1883"
Second cartouche at rear of lower tang,

D.H. Hilliard underhammer percussion buggy rifle
.38 cal. 18 1/4" octagonal barrel
cut for a bullet starter
bore appears good condition
hammer is numbered 340
Rifle has a small ivory bead on front sight mounted on dovetail base, a small standing blade rear, barrel sight and a standard Nilliard adjustable aperture sight with a long base.
Barrel marked "D.H. Hilliard / Cornish / N.H.
Walnut butt stock has steel mountings and a small circular patchbox with a long on surround.
Barrel has been cleaned and now has old reblue
Stock has old pinned repair to a grain crack halfway thru the wrist.
Left side of butt stock has large panel with nicely carved dog in relief
Very good condition
