Barrel slightly pitted, otherwise good condition,
Inspector’s mark “T” on backstrap,
“S” on cylinder,
Includes shoulder stock which is reproduction. Gun is original,

Famous outlaws & sheriffs such as Billy the Kid, Wesley Hardin, Pat Garritt, Wild Bill Hickock, etc. History books document Wyatt Earp left Dodge at this time and headed for Tombstone with his two brothers and Doc Holiday.
This is a "one of a kind" treasure!

1st model 1884 single action colt revolver ,
45 long cal., Serial no. 112606,
Exquisite engraving by Howard Dove includes even the
screws, thin gold band around front and rear of barrel, 2 gold bands
around rear of cylinder, gold band around hammer. Engraved pattern
is standard Colt leaf and vine swirl with fan pattern on
loading gate, (same on opposite side), stag handle.
This piece is accompanied by a letter from Colt stating the original shipping
date was February 27, 1885 and the piece was returned to the factory
in 1986 to be engraved. A rare opportunity to own an
extraordinary piece

condition, untouched since battle use, serial number on barrel does
not match numbers on other parts, this was true with guns in battle
when parts were interchanged during the cleaning process, gun
purchased by army
PROVENANCE: belonged to by Lt. William H.P, Stevens, 2nd Regiment
R.I. volunteers, provenance from National Archives indicates Capt.
Stevens (Calvary) was injured in battle, captured and sent South to
a Confederate prison, he was later paroled
