Large Kukuri dagger, wooden hilt w/ inlaid metal decor. 24" curved blade w/ some etching. Overall 29", Excellent leather scabbard w/ geometric design. 2 small daggers pocketed in scabbard mouth.
These weapons date back to the 12th C. as personal weapons of the Gurkhas of Nepal & Northern India -notably brave warriors.
Hand crafting of these weapons often carried from father to son, even today. Double purpose as revered gift or decoration.

Roman style short sword Nicely made, measuring 22 ¾’ overall with 17 ½” straight, unfullered, double edged blade.
Mild freckling.
Large ricasso has a W.R. Kirschbaum knight’s head trademark on one side and “Germany” on opposite side.
Cast brass hilt is similar to that of the French Artillery short sword and has straight quillons with disk finials.
Metal scabbard has freckling on one side.
The tip has decorative brass finial identical to that found on short sword no. 339 in the Ames sword catalog.

U.S. Model 1840 heavy cavalry Saber
Civil War Era.
42 ¼” overall, 36 ¼” curved, single-edge blade w/ wide & narrow fullers.
Blade is dull gray patina, series of nicks on edge near tip.
Heavy pitting on either side of ricasso.
Brass hilt is darkly patinated.
Grip was re-wrapped w/ dark leather strips and fastened w/ single copper rivet near pommel.
Steel scabbard has dark brown patina w/ heavy pitting along its full length on both sides.
This is a good example of the so-called “Wrist breaker”

Probably French (maybe Belgian) manufacture.
19” double edged steel blade w/ very light pitting.
Blade has two illegible proofs on ricasso & several light tool marks & dings.
Solid brass handle is of French design.
Several proof stamps on the face of guard that appear to be Belgian.
No scabbard.
This is probably a Confederate weapon as they had no local sources of manufacture & had to import weapons.

Brass hilt moulded from Ames as revealed by depressions of rivets & American eagles on pommel.
Brass guard has single forward swept guillon & stippled center around the exterior w/raised borders.
Grip patterned in layers of scales.
Nice patina.
Leather scabbard in excellent condition considering its age.
